Care & maintenance

Keep your ride strong.

Care tips and maintenance routines for batteries, motors and frames. Read once, save thousands.

Battery care

Lithium batteries want easy but consistent care for long life.

Charging

  • Don't leave at 0% or 100% for long periods. Ideal: 20-80%.
  • Don't charge immediately after riding — wait 30 minutes to cool down.
  • Don't charge below 0°C or above 45°C.

Storage

  • For long storage (winter) — charge to ~60% and check every 2 months.
  • Store in dry space, 10-25°C.
  • Don't leave in humid places — connector corrosion.

Motor care

Electric motors are low-maintenance, but not zero-maintenance.

Regular

  • Check motor bolt tightness monthly.
  • Clean dust and mud after each off-road session.
  • Watch for unusual sounds — clicks, knocking = visit the service.

Cables and connectors

  • After wet rides — dry and check for corrosion.
  • Protective spray (e.g. WD-40 Specialist Contact Cleaner) every 6 months.

Tires & brakes

The two consumables you will replace most often.

Tires

  • Check pressure before every ride.
  • Off-road: 1.0-1.4 bar (depends on terrain).
  • Replace when tread is under 3mm.

Brake pads

  • Check thickness monthly. Under 2mm = replace.
  • After wet rides — test brakes before difficult sections.

Periodic schedule

Minimum routine to keep it running.

Weekly (active riding)

  • Tire pressure
  • Clean chain / drivetrain
  • Visual check for loose bolts

Monthly

  • Brake pads
  • Tightness of motor and frame bolts
  • Connectors and cables

Every 6 months

  • Full technical check (or at a service)
  • Battery balancing (charge to 100% once)
  • Protective spray on connectors
